We are disappointed when life has other plans for us.
During these trying times, the situation may feel hopeless as our goals and dreams seem further and further away. We may have a hard time believing and trusting ourselves.
As we go through these stages, it can be very reassuring and strengthening to surround ourselves with those who do believe in us. One of our greatest emotional needs is to feel loved and understood by someone who truly cares.
Perhaps, an encouraging word, a hug, or simply knowing
someone 'who matters' believes in us, especially when we have stopped believing in ourselves. It provides us a sense of strength and in our decisions.
Bear in mind; this does not mean we should depend on others to fulfill us. It does mean their support will help provide the strength needed, while we regain our own
trust and self- esteem.
