We will never be able to relax, if we are fugitives from our own feelings. We might also be seeking avoidance; perhaps there’s something in our lives, or ourselves we’d rather not face up to.
Some difficult emotions don’t last for long and other feelings like anger, or fear may never quit. Explore the areas of your life where you might be a little lacking in the needs, feelings, or experiences that are important to you.
Show yourself compassion for the things that you’d rather avoid thinking right now. Give yourself permission to be
honest.
Relief only comes when we take a fresh look at those feelings, and change our “relationship” to them.
