We look back to see, how the way has been filled with people and places, who contributed to our growth and goodness. In most ways, we look back to be grateful of what we have had and to carry all that is “back to the exciting forward” we are looking upon. When we look back, we see all the treasures we have been given from people and places that meant the most to us. We see the values and beauty of a past worth treasuring and remembering.
Not all PAST needs to be forgotten especially, if they were beautiful, blissful, enjoyable and happy. We look back and absorb the wisdom. We are often instructed to “not look back,” as we are told life is lived forward. It is certainly true that life is lived forward and our focus is best directed ahead. But, we do have a need to look back to see how far we have come, and how we made it to the present moment. So maybe the adage of don't look back indeed it's a bad thing. On the positive note, a good past helps us to transit into the future with high hopes for better things to unveil.
Face your past. Face your future.
