Waiting for someone to give us light, or open a door for us to exit is minimizing your worth. You are not someone's approval. Your worth is not confined to someone's description of you.
Sometimes, when we seek approval from others, we become trapped in a box. We suffer in a space, where we often don't know where the light or door is.

Sometimes we wonder what we can do for someone when they are in need. We often think we have to do something grand, when really, if we can just let them know we care about them, or we are by their side, no matter what may come. People feel your love long after you give it.
No matter what happens, don't let your heart stop loving and your mind shut down. Disappointments and misfortune come to us all. Some are greater and much more difficult to pick up and go from, but stay patient and keep learning.
Stay patient by keeping hopeful and trying. Patience often comes with the thought of doing nothing, and truly, there are times to do nothing, but often patience is the voice that promises to be persistently acting no matter what has disappointed or stalled you. Indecision is not necessarily a bad thing, but taken to extremes, it can make you pessimistic and defeatist. Take the time you need to make the choices you need, but don't get bogged down and grind to a halt. Take yourself in hand and refuse to feel helpless in the face of a challenging (or tempting) situation. Refuse to be rushed by anyone, too. No matter how unlikely success might seem from where you are standing right now, amazing things can happen. You cannot give up hope!
Think positively, because you know deep in your heart that the game isn't over yet, and you still have plenty of energy to keep going. What you need is still out there, and you simply have to open your mind to finding it. Just be hopeful. Today, you might feel as if, a ton of bricks had fallen on you. You are likely to be overcome by a feeling of great loneliness. Even with plenty of people around you, it will feel as if, you were the last person on earth.
You feel doubt, where once was only certainty. No doubt, these are the aftershocks of a breakup or a betrayal. When you consider the worst that can happen, it may help you realize that what you are clinging to so dearly, really is not all that important to you. You'll have to pull yourself out of this, regain your balance, and rethink what you are going to do next. It's time to let go and begin anew. Nothing in life runs smoothly. Things may not be going the way you like, but this is not the time to give up. Whatever went wrong yesterday, or last year, it is no excuse to stop trying to make things right.
Be honest with yourself, and do what you can to at least not make matters worse. There's nothing that can't be forgiven, repaired or replaced. Keep the faith and keep going. Each one of us can make a difference by passing on what we know.
You have something worthwhile to share regardless of where you are in your life. You have built a history, and you have learned lessons along the way. Satisfaction comes from sharing your wisdom. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your morals and values. As you race through life facing daily challenges, and trying to stay on top of change, it's not always easy to find time to reflect on the values you hold dear.
But in truth, moments of change are exactly the times, when you most need to remember values! Morals and values like integrity, loyalty, faith, compassion, courage and a sense of community, all work together to give us inner direction and purpose. Morals and values build personal resiliency, which in turn helps you bounce back from adversity, and embrace new opportunities. Reminiscing about the past is a great way to determine where to go in your future. Get together with old friends or family members, and share your feelings about the past with them.
Even if, you just send an email off to an old friend with the subject line 'remember when', you'll unlock an important memory that will teach you about, who you are now, and who you want to evolve into. You are on a journey forward, and looking back is sometimes not a bad idea. |
