Success is a meaningful lifestyle and not just a business.
How many people do you know that have aggressively achieved their dreams, yet they
never feel complete? What happened? They have sacrificed their health, relationships
and personal needs for success, without knowing what’s most important to them.
With today’s busy lifestyles, it’s all too easy to put relationships on the backburner and
take them for granted. Even though you may have every intention of spending regular time with your partner, hectic schedules get in the way and you end up running in every direction except toward each other.
There’s a lesson here for every one of us. Before you can be truly successful, your core values and beliefs must be aligned with your efforts. In other words, your heart must lead your labors. Without this, true fulfillment will never come your way.
Yet, you know that your personal relationships are paramount to personal fulfillment. Be
sure to set some time aside each week to rediscover the people that mean most to you.
Be alone with that person, talk, enjoy your time together and renew your relationship.
Remember when you were first in love?
Remember the small things you did to show your love to your girlfriend/boyfriend? Things like a phone call in the middle of the day just to talk or say “I love you,” a love note left in her/his car, a foot massage, simple gifts, and cooking romantic dinners. Remember those days?
As time passes you get weighted down with simply living life and forget all those things
that made the difference in the beginning. Rekindle and reconnect with your relationship by consciously going back and doing the things that you did, when your love first began to grow. Who knows? You may fall in love all over again. In the long run, it’s your personal relationships that really matter.
