In what ways would you like tomorrow to be different?
Here we are today, the day that was once tomorrow. And tomorrow and today will be yesterday. Time is something each of us has equally, no one gets more seconds or
minutes in a day than another. What makes a difference in time is how we use it. If we
truly appreciate the value of time, we would never waste it. So much can happen in the space of one day.
We wake each morning with some idea of what the day holds, and often discover at least one development arrives out of the blue that casts a completely different slant on our agenda for that day. We accept that predictability can be unpredictable at times.
In some ways, we would like tomorrow to be different than yesterday and today. So many times, we hold on to the notion that tomorrow will bring better things. We have the hopes and dreams we wish for, but it is false to think our happiness and peace is only held for us
in another day. Today is the day that you have before you to grow and reap good things. Today is the day to make a difference in your life.
There are those who are understandably of the opinion that they have no reason to believe tomorrow offers much in the way of change or opportunity. This is probably because they've grown very used to a particular situation ticking along predictably, believing that they have no other option other than to accept it.
The feeling of 'wasting time' usually manifests itself, when we start growing weary of investing time and effort in a situation that doesn't offer much hope of a desired result.
Even if, we work harder or tweak what we are doing, we still don't achieve what we want
and then understandably question, if the pursuit is worth our efforts. Do NOT give up on a certain pursuit or interest now. You will never know of how close to a breakthrough you are, if you throw in the towel.
In real life there is no ‘rewind button.’ We resent the process of taking one step forward and two steps back. Sometimes, we have to go backwards, before we can go forward. This usually involves unforeseen events catching us by surprise, and causing us to reassess our position. Yet, instead of focusing on how we are then able to take one step forward as a result, we become resentful about the delay or distraction. Appreciate how something is moving forward, even if it is taking more time than you wish it was.
Every journey begins with a first step with time. There are steps to make progress towards achieving a goal. Every day that goes by, you either move closer towards achieving a goal, or you move further away from that goal. If you take specific steps, you can be assured that you are moving towards your goal. If you do nothing, you are moving away from the goal. By being still, you lose momentum and the level of inertia of our current position increases with time.
Time after all, is a crucial factor with what needs sorting immediately for whatever reason. Yet, we all know how, when we rush something, we become prone to making mistakes or causing oversights.
We have no guarantees each morning we arise but we get up. We venture out. We hope to see return for our efforts, love from our giving and joy from appreciating. The joy of life is
not in absolute security but in securing a life, a life with love and earnest work. Time never stands still. Life never stands still. We must move along with it to enjoy and create it.
We create our TOMORROWS by what we do TODAY.
